Architecture and Design Festivals Will Take Over These 5 Cities in November

Though the temperature may be dropping, November’s events calendar shows no signs of cooling down. Stateside, Austin and Nashville are hosting back-to-back design weeks highlighting the best local design in those cities. Lima will host a design week of its own that’s estimated to draw 10,000 visitors to the Peruvian capital. Dubai Design Week is going to be a major celebration, with a host of events and the unveiling of the new Jameel Arts Centre. Meanwhile in Amsterdam, the World Architecture Festival will bestow a series of awards on the best recently completed and upcoming projects around the world.

Nashville

Following on the heels of Austin Design Week, Nashville Design Week (November 8–15) will present a weeklong series of exhibits, talks, tours, and workshops that showcase the thriving local design community. If you haven’t been to the Music City recently, now is a good time to go and discover the hip new hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops making it one of the South’s most enticing destinations. Be sure to check out hometown hero Reese Witherspoon’s fashion and lifestyle boutique Draper James, book a table at Catbird Seat, and stay at the new Bobby Hotel.
